The 21-year-old, who has represented his country at under-17 level, also featured in a defensive midfield position during the 2023/24 season as Jedinstvo finished as runners-up in the second tier to clinch promotion to the Serbian Super Liga.
Born in Novi Sad, north west of Serbia's capital Belgrade, Miodrag began his career with Austrian regional sides UFC Siezenheim and SV Grödig before returning to his native country with Jedinstvo in 2023.
Primarily a centre-back, Miodrag spent the duration of the 2024/25 season on loan at Dutch side Willem II. He made his first start for United's first-team during a 2-1 comeback win against La Liga side Valencia at the Mestalla Stadium in Spain.
Miodrag, along with Michael Mills, Kyran Thompson and Vakhtang Salia, were named in a Premier League matchday squad for the first time during Newcastle's 2-1 win against Hull City in September 2026.
