The 19-year-old made his professional debut for his hometown club in November 2023 as Dinamo narrowly missed out on winning the Erovnuli Liga title.
The highly-rated teenager scored five goals in 24 appearances in the Georgian top flight and, at international level, represented his country from Under-17, Under-19 and Under-21 level.
Vakhtang sustained a long-term hamstring injury in August 2025 before, seven months later, marking his return with a goal on his competitive debut for United's Under-21s side during a 2-2 draw against Leicester City in the Premier League 2.
He made a strong start to the current campaign, scoring four times in his opening five matches at Under-21 level across the National League Cup, Premier League 2 and Jersey Mike's Trophy.
'Vakho' was named in a Premier League matchday squad for the first time during the Magpies' 2-1 home win against Hull City in September 2026.
