We gave fans the chance to vote for their KNOX Women's Player of the Month for September.

Tanya Oxtoby's side won four of their five fixtures in September, only tasting defeat against Aston Villa Women in the Subway Players Cup at the end of the month.

Newcastle United Women were successful against Leicester City Women, Sheffield United Women, Bristol City Women and Wolverhampton Wanderers Women in the WSL2, with Kaitlyn Torpey, Beth Lumsden and Martha Thomas earning nominations for KNOX Player of the Month for September.

Torpey, who arrived on Tyneside in January, has been a huge success at both ends of the pitch, keeping two clean sheets and netting her first Magpies' goal last month.

Lumsden scored twice in September, against both Wolves and Sheffield United, and continues to impress.

Meanwhile, Thomas is another who has enjoyed a successful month in front of goal. Notching four goals and one assist in four WSL2 matches, the summer signing has started the season in fine form.

It was a close-run affair with Torpey finishing on 14% of the vote, Thomas scooping an impressive 42% and eventual-winner Lumsden taking home the September crown with 44% of the final votes.
